Bodegas Salzillo focuses its business activity in the development and marketing of wines covered under Jumilla’s Designation of Origin.
We are a family business recently created (2002), which is the culmination of a dream for its founder, Augustin Lacárcel Ruiz, who always had the inner desire to build modern facilities capable of highlighting the unique characteristics of the wines area.
That is why, today we can develop a wide range (white, rosé, red and sweet) of quality wines that have received, despite its short history, several national and international awards.
In Bodegas Salzillo we boast about our indigenous variety pf grape, Monastrell (Mourvère, Mataró). Exclusive of southeastern Spain, this grape reaches its highest expression within the D.O. Jumilla.
Besides Monastrell grapes, other red varieties (Cabernet, Syrah, Merlot,…) and white varieties such as Macabeo, together with the unique conditions of soil and climate, allow us to offer modern, fruity and tasty wines, with pleasant tannins.
